Our gift to you for Mothers’ Day
Change in Nature, Kindred Village and 42 Acres are teaming up to give mothers an incredible gift this year: a 3 day escape from caring responsibilities (child free!) at a luxury retreat centre in Somerset, where you will be fed delicious, healthy food and guided through activities that nourish the soul. The real cost of the retreat is £840, but thanks to a generous grant we are offering it at £150 (low income) - £300 as a gift to mothers who do so much vital and unseen caring in our society.
Mother Nature Retreat is a unique retreat designed exclusively for mothers of children aged 7 and under — a deeply transformative journey of rest, renewal, and rediscovery. Rooted in the profound wisdom of nature, this retreat offers a nurturing space to explore the often-overlooked journey of matrescence (the transformation into motherhood), in the supportive presence of a village-like community.
At the breathtaking 42 Acres Somerset, where luxury accommodation, sumptuous food and wild beauty converge, you’ll find yourself immersed in spaces that invite both grounding and freedom — from the calming walled garden to playful woodland areas, the reflective lakeside to the soulful yurt.
Why we’re offering this
Motherhood is one of the most transformative thresholds we can cross — but in our modern, individualistic world, mothers often navigate this journey without the communal support, elders’ wisdom, or the ritual container they deeply need. Living in nuclear families without community support, many feel feel burned out, disconnected, and unseen.
This retreat is for you if you long to step away from your caring duties for a few days to:
Rekindle your vitality and creativity
Explore your identity as a mother and individual
Build community with an incredible circle of fellow mothers
Our Mother Nature Retreat will support you to feel more connected, empowered, and resourced, so you can return home to yourself — and to your family and community — with a renewed sense of energy and wholeness.
