Wild Geese Gathering

Join us over summer solstice for a magical blend of connection, co-creation and celebration

Thu 19th to Sun 22nd June 2025

Woodbury Salterton, East Devon (near Exeter)

“Whoever you are, no matter how lonely, the world offers itself to your imagination, calls to you like the wild geese, harsh and exciting - over and over announcing your place in the family of things.”

Mary Oliver

Coming home…

YES!!! For the first time ever, we will be bringing together this talented, inspiring and very lovely group of budding nature facilitators. Your nature facilitation course with us was a calling home towards a deeper connection with yourself, others and the natural world. Yet the course was just the beginning… and very likely you are still sensing your way towards the full depth and expansiveness that awaits you. In the words of John O’Donohue, though your destination may not be clear, “you can trust the promise of this opening; unfurl yourself into the grace of beginning; that is at one with your life's desire.”

Unfurling can be a long, beautiful and sometimes challenging journey, and we have heard from many of you that you long for support from a like-hearted community as you strive to make changes in your personal and professional lives. It is more easeful and joyful when we unfurl together. We have heard your longing and that is why we call to you now, like the wild geese, to come together with fellow nature facilitation alumni.

Summer Solstice

This is an invitation to join us over the long summer days of the solstice. The focus will be on connection, co-creation and celebration - with plenty of opportunities to deepen relationships old and new, and share what professional needs and requests we each might have. This is the plan:

  • THURSDAY: Landing. Together we will start settling into a slower natural rhythm, connect with each other and orientate ourselves to the land. In the evening, we will share some pleasing peanut stew together (for old times sake!) and have a classic Change in Nature fireside with music, stories, games and laughter.

  • FRIDAY: Connection. We will hold space for you to unwind, reconnect and come alive. Expect sensory awareness, playfulness, imagination and going deeper into heart-space - with lots of practices that we did not have the time to offer during the Nature Facilitation Training.

  • SATURDAY: Co-creation. It is very much over to you, with opportunities for open space, collaboration and workshops held by the community. In the evening, expect a Summer Solstice Banquet and celebratory festivities.

  • SUNDAY: Going Forth. Together we will explore how, as individuals and a movement, we might grow and evolve from this place.

Where?

We will gather at a 15 acre smallholding just outside Woodbury Salterton, East Devon. The land offers a mix of verdant meadows and ancient woodland, as well as easy walking access to East Devon’s Pebblebed Heath - an expansive wild place and Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Our hearth is in a beautiful rustic hay barn, with cushions and blankets to keep us cosy. The farm is a nascent rewilding project with 2000 saplings already planted and other plans on the horizon.

  • Arrivals from 4pm on Thursday. There will be informal free time to land, set up your tent and mingle - with dinner at 6.30pm and a fireside around 8pm.
